PIONIR 2025: UIN Jakarta's Nursing Study Program Encourages Students to Become Digital Health Entrepreneurs
Fikes News Online,- The Nursing Science Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully held the 2025 National Webinar on Health Entrepreneurship Business on Saturday, July 12, 2025. The activity, which was held online through the Zoom Meeting platform, raised the theme "PIONIR: Strengthening Innovation and Optimizing Regulations for Digital Entrepreneurs" and was attended by more than 200 participants consisting of students, lecturers, health practitioners, and the general public from various regions in Indonesia. This webinar aims to equip participants with insights and strategies for entrepreneurship in the digital and innovative health sector, which is adaptive to changing times and community needs.
The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Sc., who in his remarks conveyed the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among health students. Zilhadia emphasized that future challenges require health workers to not only excel clinically, but also be able to create jobs and provide innovative solutions through a legal and technology-based business approach. Appreciation was also expressed by the Vice Dean III for Student Affairs, Dr. Ns. Uswatun Khasanah, MNS., who emphasized that this activity is a form of developing students' soft skills in leadership, communication, management, and data-based decision-making. She also hopes that this webinar will be a spark of enthusiasm for students to dare to start businesses relevant to their professions.
The webinar featured three speakers with diverse but complementary backgrounds. Banindro, SE, MM, from the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, opened the session with a presentation on "Trade Policies and Opportunities for Entrepreneurs in the Digital Economy Era." He explained the government's strategy for supporting MSMEs, including the healthcare sector, as well as the significant global market opportunities accessible through digital platforms. This material broadened participants' horizons regarding the importance of legality, regulation, and cross-sector synergy in developing healthcare businesses.
The second session was presented by Ns. Ilzam, S.Kep., who discussed in detail "Digital Marketing Strategies to Increase Healthcare Business Competitiveness." She explained how branding, effective use of social media, and digital-based market analysis can determine the success of healthcare businesses in this competitive era. This practical and applicable presentation was enthusiastically received by participants.
The final session was a peak of inspiration when Sri Handayani, S.Kep., a healthcare practitioner and owner of an independent clinic and pharmacy, shared her real-life experience through the presentation "From Practice to Business: A Nurse's Journey to Building an Independent Clinic and Pharmacy." She recounted her long journey from working as a nurse to establishing an officially registered independent healthcare service that provides direct benefits to the community. This experience demonstrates that healthcare workers also have great potential as professional entrepreneurs.
The series of activities concluded with a question-and-answer session, an interactive discussion, and a group photo. All participants enthusiastically participated in each session. This webinar is expected to spark renewed enthusiasm among nursing students and healthcare workers in general to think creatively, build ethical businesses, and address the challenges and opportunities of the digital era. This activity also represents the commitment of the Nursing Science Study Program at UIN Jakarta to encourage student capacity building not only in academics but also in sustainable and effective entrepreneurship.
