The UIN Jakarta Nursing Study Program Holds a Joint Lecture with the Japanese Red Cross Hiroshima College of Nursing
Fikes News Online,– The Nursing Study Program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully held an online Joint Lecture with the Japanese Red Cross Hiroshima College of Nursing via Zoom. The event was attended by lecturers, students, and administrators from both institutions, including the DENTA Advisory Board of UIN Jakarta.
The event began with remarks from Ms. Eni Nuraini Agustini, S.Kep., M.Sc., PhD, who introduced the UIN Jakarta Nursing Study Program and the students who are members of the Disaster Emergency Nursing Team (DENTA). Eni emphasized the importance of international collaboration in broadening students' horizons, particularly in the fields of emergency nursing and disaster management.
During the presentation, Annisa Dwi Aulia Aldjazairi, a member of DENTA from the External Relations (HE) Department, explained Indonesia's geographical location as a disaster-prone country and the challenges faced in disaster management. Then, Madae Charisma Kasih Rabbani, a member of the Emergency and Preparedness Department (KGDK), outlined the active role of Nursing Science Study Program students in disaster preparedness activities carried out by DENTA.
The discussion continued with questions from the Japanese Red Cross Hiroshima College of Nursing regarding funding sources to support DENTA's various activities. DENTA members explained that the majority of funding comes from the faculty, but to cover any shortfalls, DENTA seeks sponsors.
Vice Dean 3, Dr. Ns. Uswatun Khasanah, MNS, expressed her appreciation for the implementation of this program, which is part of the implementation of the collaboration between the two institutions. This program is a tangible demonstration of both parties' commitment to improving student capacity in emergency nursing and disaster management.
The Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., stated that this Joint Lecture is part of the internationalization program of the Faculty of Health Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This program aims to expand international collaboration networks, improve the quality of education, and provide students with a broader learning experience, particularly in the fields of emergency nursing and disaster management, which are highly relevant global issues.
