Jakarta, Berita FIKES Online — The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has once again demonstrated its firm commitment to strengthening academic quality to global standards. Today, October 19, 2026, the Dean of FIKES UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., along with the faculty leadership, lecturers, and administrative staff, personally welcomed Prof. Florencio V. Arce Jr., RPh, MSc, PhD, SRPharmS, from the University of San Carlos, Philippines, at the Main Meeting Room (RRU) of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) building.

This warm welcome at the FKIK building marks the commencement of the International Adjunct Professor program at FIKES UIN Jakarta, which is scheduled to run for a full week, from October 18 to 25, 2026. The presence of this international visiting professor is expected to expand global collaborative networks while enhancing the quality of the "Tridharma" (the three pillars of higher education—education, research, and community service), particularly within the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

In their remarks, the faculty leadership expressed their appreciation and enthusiasm for this collaborative initiative. During his time at FIKES UIN Jakarta, Prof. Florencio V. Arce Jr. will lead various strategic academic activities designed to enrich the competencies of students, ranging from the undergraduate to the master’s level.

Program Academic Agenda:

Monday, October 19, 2026: Begins with a guest lecture titled "Compounding and Dispensing," followed by a workshop on "Trans-Eyelid Drug Delivery."

Tuesday, October 20, 2026: A guest lecture on "Semi-Solid Dosage Form Technology."

Wednesday, October 21, 2026: A public lecture themed "Writing a Competitive Research Proposal," along with a specialized study session on "Generic VCO-Based Nanostructured Lipid Carriers for Skin Delivery."

Thursday, October 22, 2026: A public lecture covering the fundamentals of pharmaceutics.

Saturday, October 24, 2026: Concludes with "Master of Pharmacy Special Sessions," designed to strengthen the academic competencies of students in the Master of Pharmacy program.

In addition to in-person lectures, the program includes various activities aimed at enhancing research quality and scientific publication. These include research supervision sessions, faculty-led manuscript reviews, manuscript submission clinics, academic collaboration meetings, and mentorship for research and publication.

Through the synergy fostered by this "International Adjunct Professor" program, the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta remains committed to developing graduates and an academic community that are competitive, adaptable to global scientific advancements, and capable of producing significant innovations in the field of health.
