JAKARTA, Berita FIKES Online – The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially opened the 4th International Conference on Health Sciences (ICHS) 2026 on Thursday morning (August 6) at the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta. This two-day international conference—held from August 6 to 7, 2026—brings together academics, researchers, health practitioners, and policymakers from both national and international levels.

For this fourth edition, ICHS features the main theme: "Health Technology Innovation, Religiosity, and Multisectoral Collaboration: Advancing Health Equity and Sustainability toward the SDGs." The conference highlights the importance of integrating health technology innovation, ethical and religious values, and cross-sector collaboration to foster health equity and sustainability in pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This international conference was officially opened with remarks from the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., alongside the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si. The conference also featured the Head of the Agency for Research, Development, and Training at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. H. Amien Suyitno, M.Ag., as the keynote speaker.

In his address, the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration that integrates science, technological advancement, and a foundation of spirituality.

"Through the 4th ICHS, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is committed to facilitating a strategic dialogue between advancements in health technology, spiritual values, and multisectoral collaboration. This step is crucial to ensuring that health innovations are not only technically superior but also equitable, ethical, and inclusive for all segments of society," he asserted.

The Dean of FIKES UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., added that ICHS 2026 encompasses 15 research sub-themes—ranging from technological innovations in nursing services, information systems and digital health, and clinical pharmacy and natural products, to disaster management and mental health. All selected papers from this forum will be published in reputable journals indexed by Scopus and SINTA.
