South Tangerang, FIKES News Online, — The Department of Social Affairs, Student Association (DEMA) of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully held the FIKES Mengabdi dan Mengajar (FIKES Serving and Teaching Movement) event with the theme "CARE: Collaborate, Act, Reach, Educate." The event took place at the Aria Putra Orphanage Foundation on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM WIB.
Chaired by Tiara Rahma Audina, this event is part of the implementation of the Department of Social Affairs' work program for the 2025/2026 period under the leadership of Mahsa Raissa Raphy, the General Chairperson of DEMA FIKES of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Also present at the event were Dr. Uswatun Khasanah, M.N.S., Deputy Dean III of FIKES, and invited guest representatives from PLN, Ismi and Abdullah.

With the primary goal of raising public awareness, especially among children, of the importance of maintaining good health to improve well-being, the GEN FM program featured educational and interactive sessions. Through a presentation by Muhammad Saifurrahman on "Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS)," the children at the orphanage were encouraged to understand the importance of maintaining hand and nail hygiene as part of a healthy lifestyle.
The event began with participant registration, followed by an opening by the MC, a recitation of verses from the Quran, and the singing of Indonesia Raya, the UIN Hymn, and the FIKES March. Following this, remarks were delivered by the Chairperson of the Executive Committee, the Chairperson of the FIKES Student Executive Board (DEMA), the Vice Dean III of FIKES, and representatives of the orphanage management.
The event continued with introductions between the committee, volunteers, and the orphanage children, followed by the "Tree of Hope" activity, where the children wrote down their dreams and hopes for the future. The atmosphere grew even more lively as participants participated in educational games that fostered a spirit of togetherness and joy.
As a tangible demonstration of their concern and support, the committee presented souvenirs, donations, and prizes to the children who won the games. The entire event concluded with a group photo, a prayer, and lunch served by the catering committee.

Through this GEN FM activity, the Student Executive Board (DEMA) of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) of UIN Jakarta not only implements the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community service, but also strengthens social ties between students and the surrounding community. Furthermore, this activity marks the first step in establishing a foundation specifically sponsored by FIKES of UIN Jakarta, which is expected to become a sustainable platform for students to contribute to improving public health.
