Jakarta, FIKES Online News — The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held the opening of an international research program with Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Shah, Ph.D., an Assistant Professor from the Department of Pharmacy at Hazara University, Pakistan, on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The event, which took place from 13:00 to 15:00 WIB, was part of a series of international programs running from August 12 to September 15, 2026.

The event began with an opening by the Master of Ceremony (MC), apt. Delila Eliza, M.Farm. It continued with the singing of the national anthems of Indonesia (*Indonesia Raya*) and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The rendition of both anthems served as a gesture of respect and a reflection of the spirit of friendship and academic cooperation between Indonesia and Pakistan.

Next, participants watched a profile video of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and the Faculty of Health Sciences. The video introduced the institution's profile, academic environment, and educational programs at FIKES UIN Jakarta to Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Shah, Ph.D.

In her remarks representing the Dean of FIKES UIN Jakarta, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs (Vice Dean III), Dr. Uswatun Khasanah, M.N.S., welcomed Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Shah, Ph.D. to Jakarta and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

Dr. Uswatun Khasanah also introduced the Faculty of Health Sciences and its various study programs. She expressed hope that the visit of Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Shah, Ph.D. would serve as a catalyst for strengthening academic ties between FIKES UIN Jakarta and Hazara University, particularly in the field of research.
