Jakarta, FIKES Online News – Students from the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta have once again achieved a proud milestone. Three students—Ryan Fajar Pratama, Nadia Sevilla Azzahra, and Yeni Isnaeni—secured 3rd place in the Scientific Paper Competition (student category) at the BIPERS Competition 2026, organized by the Bintang Persada Institute of Technology and Health in Bali.

In the competition, the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta team claimed 3rd place in the student category, competing against participants from various universities across Indonesia. The BIPERS Competition 2026 centered on the theme "Education as a Foundation for Realizing an Excellent and Competitive Young Generation." The academic paper evaluation process took place from July 13 to 18, 2026. The official winners' list recognizes Ryan Fajar Pratama, Nadia Sevilla Azzahra, and Yeni Isnaeni as the 3rd place winners in the student scientific paper category.

This achievement was attained with a scientific paper titled "Cosmeceutical Computation Modeling Based on Quality by Design and Machine Learning (AI) for the Optimization of Anti-Acne Formulations Combining Three Natural Extracts," developed under the guidance of Dr. Ns. Uswatun Khasanah, S.Kep., MNS.

The work employs an innovative approach that integrates the health sector and natural-ingredient-based formulation development with technological advancements, utilizing the Quality by Design framework and machine learning (artificial intelligence/AI). This initiative demonstrates the potential of FIKES students to produce scientific work that is not only health-oriented but also adaptable to technological progress.

Karyadi, Ph.D., Head of the Nursing Science Study Program (PSIK) at FIKES UIN Jakarta, expressed his appreciation for the students' achievement. According to him, this achievement serves as proof that students must be continuously encouraged to develop critical and innovative thinking skills and to boldly explore multidisciplinary approaches.

“We highly appreciate the achievements of Ryan, Nadia, and Yeni. The work they developed demonstrates the students' willingness to integrate health sciences with technological advancements, including the use of artificial intelligence. Hopefully, this achievement will motivate other students to continue developing ideas, thinking critically, and competing at both national and international levels,” said Karyadi.

The Dean of FIKES UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., also expressed her appreciation to the students and their supervising lecturers. She hopes that the work produced will not stop at the competition stage but will continue to be developed as part of strengthening the culture of research and innovation within FIKES.

“Congratulations to the students and supervising lecturers on this proud achievement. This success demonstrates that FIKES students have the potential to generate innovative ideas that combine health sciences, natural materials, and technological advancements. We hope this achievement does not end with the competition but continues to evolve into scholarly works and innovations that benefit society,” stated Zilhadia.

The success of Ryan, Nadia, and Yeni is expected to inspire other FIKES students to become more active in scientific activities and competitions at both national and international levels. FIKES UIN Jakarta continues to encourage students to develop creativity, research skills, and collaborative abilities, as well as to utilize technology in addressing various future health challenges.
