Jakarta, FIKES Online News – The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta welcomed Assoc. Prof. Muhammad Ajmal Shah, PhD, from Hazara University, Pakistan, as an International Research Fellow. Running from August 12 to September 15, 2026, this program is part of FIKES's efforts to strengthen internationalization, research collaboration, and global academic networks.

Assoc. Prof. Muhammad Ajmal Shah is a scientist and researcher specializing in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacognosy, with expertise in natural products, herbal medicines, eco-friendly extraction technologies, nutraceuticals, and phytocosmeceuticals. His research also focuses on developing natural bioactive compounds to address metabolic and age-related diseases, such as diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's.

With extensive international academic and research experience, Muhammad Ajmal Shah has authored over 100 publications in reputable international scientific journals and has been involved in numerous book publications, research grants, and projects.

During his time at FIKES UIN Jakarta, a range of academic and research activities are planned, including a *Studium Generale* (public lecture), collaborative research, research training clinics, faculty sharing sessions, research mentoring, and discussions on developing future international cooperation opportunities.

The International Research Fellowship program is coordinated by apt. Puteri Amelia, M.Farm., Ph.D. The activities not only provide students and faculty with international academic perspectives but also foster sustainable research collaborations.

The Dean of FIKES UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., warmly welcomed Muhammad Ajmal Shah to the faculty. “We warmly welcome Assoc.
