MORA Overseas Student Mobility Awards (MOSMA)

Online Fikes News,- I am Jasmine Agninsyira from Faculty of Health Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Now I am engaging MORA Overseas Student Mobility Awards (MOSMA) at Buffalo State University, on health and wellness program.

After approximately three months at Buffalo State University, I've acquired a wealth of new knowledge and experiences. I've made substantial progress and reached several milestones during my exchange program.

Academically, I've excelled in my coursework, consistently earning good grades. The educational environment here has enhanced my critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills in English. I've received tutoring and support from both professors and the library staff to assist me with assignments and cultural adaptation.

In terms of cultural immersion, I've actively engaged with the local community by participating in various cultural events and festivals. This has deepened my cross-cultural understanding and improved my language proficiency. Meaningful interactions with local residents have given me a profound appreciation for their way of life and diverse traditions.

On a personal level, I've encountered and overcome numerous challenges, pushing me beyond my comfort zone and facilitating personal growth. These experiences have significantly expanded my horizons and broadened my perspectives on the world. Additionally, I've participated in volunteer activities, such as Bengal Day to Care, which focused on assisting farmers, and the Buffalo State Open House in the Forensic Chemistry Major.

I'm actively engaged in two campus extracurricular activities that have greatly enhanced my college journey. The first is the International Students Club (ISO), which serves as an exceptional platform for nurturing cross-cultural connections and mutual understanding. As an ISO member, I've had the privilege of interacting with students from diverse backgrounds, immersing myself in their cultures, and sharing insights about my own. Our activities include organizing cultural events, food festivals, and language exchange programs, all of which not only broaden my global perspective but also promote cultural diversity within our university community. The second extracurricular involvement I maintain is with the Forensic Club, in collaboration with the American Chemical Society. This has introduced me to new experiences in the fields of forensic science and chemistry. Participating in the Forensic Club has allowed me to effectively balance my social life, academics, and community engagement.

In summary, my progress and accomplishments over the past three months have been immensely gratifying and have played a pivotal role in both my personal and academic development. I've not only met but exceeded many of the goals I initially set for the program. This experience has been a transformative journey, and I'm eager to build on these achievements in the remaining months.
