FIKES News Online, – The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta received a visit from the Social Trust Fund (STF) UIN Jakarta in the context of an audience for the Scholarship and Waqf Program on Tuesday, September 20, 2025. This activity took place in the Main Meeting Room (RRU) of the FKIK Building and was attended by the leadership of FIKES and the STF team.

This audience aimed to strengthen the synergy between FIKES and STF in supporting inclusive and equitable access to education through scholarships and educational endowments.

During the meeting, STF explained the background of the institution, which was established in 2012 as a social and humanitarian institution under the auspices of UIN Jakarta. STF upholds the vision of "Creating Philanthropic Activities for a Socially Just Life" and carries out its mission through four main pillars known by the acronym CARE: Charity, Advocacy, Research, and Endowment. STF also actively collects and manages social funds such as zakat, sedekah, and waqf in a transparent and accountable manner.

STF not only outlined its strategic programs but also provided an updated report on the number of active donors from the Faculty of Health Sciences and the beneficiaries. To date, 18 students have received scholarships from STF, a concrete manifestation of the institution's commitment to supporting equitable higher education.

The Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES), Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., welcomed the audience and expressed his appreciation for STF's support for students through scholarship and endowment programs. "We greatly appreciate STF's active efforts to bridge the needs of students, particularly in terms of educational funding," he said. The Dean hopes this collaboration will have a real and sustainable impact on the FIKES academic community, particularly for FIKES students and for students at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in general.

Furthermore, Prof. Zilhadia also encouraged the active participation of educational staff and administrators within UIN Jakarta to support the philanthropic movement initiated by STF. This support can be realized through social contributions such as zakat (alms), sadaqah (charity), humanitarian donations, grants, and other forms of philanthropic funds. This collective support is expected to strengthen an inclusive and socially just education ecosystem.
