Socialization of the GALAKSI Program to Overcome Stunting Problems

Group 4 PBL Cilincing held the program "Encourage Action to Overcome Stunting". The aim is to provide socialization, education in the form of counseling, and conduct cooking demonstrations to mothers of toddlers and cadres in the RW 10 Semper Timur Subdistrict, Cilincing, North Jakarta.

The event was opened directly by Neni as head of RW 1O. In her speech, Neni expressed her gratitude for the presence of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta students and students, because they will be holding the GALAKSI program in the RW 10 Semtim area. The hope expressed is that this program can be useful for mothers of toddlers and posyandu cadres. "Thank you to the students from UIN Syarif," said Neni in her speech.

The GALAKSI program has four stages of activities. This socialization activity is the first stage of the program implemented by Group 4. In the second stage, a class for mothers of toddlers will be formed using the online media WhatsApp, followed by outreach activities with material on the importance of protein to prevent stunting, and the culminating event will be a cooking demonstration activity with mothers of toddlers. . Nofi Andriyani as the head of the socialization organizer, expressed his hopes to the mothers of toddlers and posyandu cadres who were present. "We have high hopes for all mothers to be able to participate and make this GALAKSI intervention program a success, which will run for approximately three weeks," he said.

Previously, 5th semester Public Health students, who were divided into 10 groups, carried out Field Learning Experience 1 (PBL 1) activities from the end of October to November 2023 in a number of Greater Jakarta areas. The PBL 1 activity is a situation analysis stage for areas that have problems with nutritionally vulnerable toddlers. Only in mid-February 2024, various intervention activities were carried out to overcome the problem findings in the previous situation analysis in PBL 1.
