FIKES Online News – The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially appointed Herwanda Nurlita Zahra from the nursing study program as the Best Graduate of the Faculty at the 138th Graduation Ceremony for Prospective Graduates. This determination refers to the Decree of the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Number: 88b of 2025 concerning Graduation and Determination of the Best Graduates of the Undergraduate Program (S1) 138th Graduation of the Odd Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year of the Faculty of Health Sciences UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The announcement was made in a series of graduation ceremonies which took place on Tuesday, November 26, 2025, at the Prof. MK Tadjudin Auditorium, FKIK UIN Jakarta. At this graduation ceremony, the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) of State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta declared 98 graduates, consisting of 44 students from the Public Health Study Program, 15 students from the Pharmacy Study Program, and 39 students from the Nursing Science Study Program (PSIK).

Herwanda was named the top graduate thanks to a combination of outstanding academic and non-academic achievements. He earned a GPA of 3.88 with Cum Laude honors and has recorded various non-academic achievements, including first place in the 2023 Dompet Dhuafa ETOS ID Youth Inspiration Camp Microblog Competition, first place (Team) for Rufaida Al Aslamiyah – Teras Student 2024 at Universitas Nasional, first place (Team) for the Ratoh Jaroe Dance Artfest Cup at Trisakti University 2023, and has been a delegate at various national and international events.

Furthermore, in second place for the best academic performance was Destri Evi Safitri from the Public Health Study Program with a GPA of 3.77 (Cum laude) and third place was achieved by Afiqa Kurnia Putri from the Pharmacy Study Program with a GPA of 3.64 (Cum laude). In addition to academic achievements, several FIKES UIN Jakarta students also made extraordinary achievements in non-academic fields and received awards from the faculty, namely Annisa Cesy Aulia and Ahirna Putri Aritonang.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Zilhadia, M.Sc., congratulated all graduates on their achievements. He likened the educational process to a ladder of life.

“Life is a series of stairs. Each step determines whether we ascend to the top or descend. Today, you have chosen to ascend—to fight, to persevere, and to reach the highest point,” he said.

Prof. Zilhadia also gave an important message to the graduates: never give up easily in the face of challenges, and to never be satisfied with what has been achieved or not achieved.

“Don't give up easily. Whatever difficulties lie ahead, face them with determination and courage. And never be satisfied with what you have achieved. Today's achievements are a stepping stone to future achievements,” he said.

He also apologized for any shortcomings during the educational process and expressed his hope that all graduates would continue to maintain their integrity and make their parents, lecturers, and the community proud wherever they serve.

The graduation ceremony concluded with a friendly gathering and group photo session with all participants, lecturers, and faculty leadership.
