The Public Health Study Program's Epidemiology Specialization organizes Institutional Posbindu Activities
Online Fikes News,- Epidemiology Student of Public Health class of 2021, Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Science Health has organized Institutional Posbindu (Integrated Guidance Post) activities in collaboration with Epidemiology Student of Public Health class of 2020 on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2023 on the 3rd Floor of the Faculty of Health Sciences Building. Institutional Posbindu was held for the Practicum on Early Detection of Risk Factors course in the epidemiology specialization, which is addressed to the entire academic community of the Faculty of Health Sciences carrying the theme "ENTER: Early Diagnosis for The Better Future".
This activity was held with various preparations, starting from coordination between the Epidemiology Student of Public Health class of 2021 and Epidemiology Student of Public Health class of 2020, as well as the lecturer in charge of the Practicum on Early Detection of Risk Factors course. Screening and early detection of risk factors of non-communicable diseases in this Institutional Posbindu are carried out by implementing the 5 (five) tables system, namely, there is participant registration, physical examination in the form of weight, height and circumference stomach, blood pressure checks, blood tests (glucose, cholesterol, hemoglobin, and gout), and ends with a consultation accompanied by the provision of consumption.
Institutional Posbindu received high enthusiasm from the Health Sciences Faculty's academic community. Students and education staff arrived at the Institutional Posbindu location. This activity was also attended by the Dean of the Health Sciences Faculty so that participants become more enthusiastic about carrying out health examinations at this Institutional Posbindu. Staff during this Institutional Posbindu activity are divided into 2 (two) teams. This activity started at 8:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., so the total number of participants who carried out the health examinations at Institutional Posbindu was as many as 115 people. Carrying out screening and early detection of non-communicable disease risk factors activity at Institutional Posbindu is expected to increase the level of health of the Health Sciences Faculty’s academic community as early as possible.
