FIKES Online News – The Student Executive Council of the Faculty of Health Sciences (DEMA FIKES) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully held the 1448 H Islamic Holiday Commemoration (PHBI) on June 17, 2026. The event, held at the Taajul Ilmi Mosque, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Jakarta, carried the theme "T.A.Q.W.A (True Awakening: Quality, Wisdom, & Action)" with the subtheme "Hijrah: Moving On from the Old Self." Wednesday (June 17, 2026).
This event served as a forum for reflection and spiritual strengthening for students as they welcomed the Islamic New Year. A total of 113 people participated, consisting of 84 participants and 29 committee members.
The series of events began with an opening by the Master of Ceremony (MC), Eriska Fairuzzahira and Shafiyyah Bilqis Azzahrah, followed by the reading of the holy verses of the Qur'an, singing the song Indonesia Raya, the UIN Hymn, and a joint documentation session.

The event continued with remarks from several prominent figures who provided motivation and appreciation for the successful implementation of the PHBI 1448 H activity.
Muhammad Rifqi, the Chief Executive, expressed his gratitude for the successful implementation of the activity and thanked the entire committee for their hard work in preparing it. He hoped the activity would be beneficial and serve as a spiritual learning platform for all participants.
The next remarks were delivered by Cantika Zahara Fajriyana, Deputy Chair of the Student Executive Board (DEMA) of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) for the 2026/2027 period. In her remarks, she expressed her appreciation to all the committee members and those who supported the event. She also hoped that participants would participate effectively throughout the entire series of events and learn from the material presented.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, highlighted the relevance of the sub-theme "Hijrah: Moving On from the Old Self" to today's life. He emphasized that hijrah (migration) is not only interpreted as a physical move, but also as a process of self-transformation toward a better person, both spiritually, academically, and socially.
Entering the main agenda, which lasted approximately 175 minutes, participants participated in the closing prayer of the Qur'an and the recitation of the Hijri New Year prayer as a form of gratitude and hope for blessings in the new year.
The activity then continued with a presentation entitled "Hijrah: Moving On from the Old Self" by Ustadz Syahrul Ramdhani. In his presentation, he encouraged participants to understand the meaning of hijrah as a process of continuous self-transformation, leaving behind negative habits, and developing a more positive character that benefits both oneself and those around them.

Following the presentation, participants participated in a question-and-answer session led by a moderator. The discussion was interactive, with participants asking various questions regarding the implementation of the values of hijrah in daily life, both as students and as members of society.
In closing, the committee announced and awarded prizes to the winners of the competitions held earlier to celebrate PHBI 1448 H. The event was then closed by the MC, followed by a group photo session involving all participants, committee members, speakers, and invited guests.
Through PHBI 1448 H, the Student Executive Board (DEMA FIKES) hopes to foster the spirit of hijrah, increase faith and piety, and encourage students to continue making positive changes in their lives. This activity not only commemorates the Islamic holiday but also serves as a moment for self-reflection and strengthening Islamic values within the academic environment of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
