UIN Jakarta FIKES Nursing Student Wins 1st Runner-Up (Harapan I) in the QRIStal Qasuari 2026 Digital Challenge in Sorong

Sorong, Berita FIKES Online – Students from the Nursing Science Study Program (PSIK) at the Faculty of Health Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, have once again achieved a proud milestone. Three PSIK students from the Class of 2023—Ayub Cahya Firdaus, Annisa Dwi Aulia Aldjazairi, and Ryan Fajar Pratama—under the guidance of Ns. Birrul Qodriyah, M.Sc., ANP, successfully secured 1st Runner-Up (Juara Harapan I) in the "Digital Challenge QRIStal Qasuari 2026," a competition organized by the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for West Papua.

The series of events took place from July 23 to 26, 2026, in Sorong City. Throughout the event, participants engaged in various competition activities, ranging from preparation and assessment stages to the closing ceremony.

A key highlight was the Final Assessment held on July 24, 2026, which marked the concluding phase of the competition's evaluation process. Each team presented the programs they had implemented, their strategies for promoting the use of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard), and the programs' achievements and impact on the community.

During the evaluation, the panel of judges assessed various aspects, including program innovation, the effectiveness of implemented strategies, activity outcomes, and the participants' contributions toward expanding the digital payment ecosystem.

The "Digital Challenge QRIStal Qasuari 2026" was organized to raise public awareness and encourage participation in utilizing digital payment systems via QRIS. The program not only promotes the use of cashless payments among the public but also encourages business owners to provide QRIS payment facilities, thereby making transactions easier, faster, more secure, and more efficient.

Through this competition, the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for West Papua aims to accelerate the digitalization of payment systems, expand financial inclusion, and foster regional digital economic growth. The widespread adoption of QRIS is expected to support the creation of a modern, inclusive, and sustainable payment ecosystem.

The success of Ayub Cahya Firdaus, Annisa Dwi Aulia Aldjazairi, and Ryan Fajar Pratama—under the guidance of Ns. Birrul Qodriyah, M.Sc., ANP—marks a proud achievement for FIKES UIN Jakarta. This accomplishment demonstrates that health science students have ample opportunities to contribute and develop competencies beyond their core academic fields, including in areas such as innovation, communication, community empowerment, digital literacy, and the development of the digital economic ecosystem.

The Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., expressed her appreciation for this achievement.

“We are very proud of the achievements attained by the Nursing Study Program students. This success demonstrates that FIKES students possess not only competence in the health sector but also the ability to adapt to and contribute to technological advancements and digital transformation within society. We also extend our appreciation to the supervising lecturers who guided the students throughout this competition. May this achievement inspire other students to boldly learn, innovate, and uphold the reputation of FIKES UIN Jakarta in various forums.”

The Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation at FIKES UIN Jakarta, Dr. Ns. Uswatun Khasanah, MNS, added that student participation in cross-disciplinary competitions is a vital part of student competency development.

“This achievement is a source of great pride, as nursing students have dared to step outside their academic comfort zones and take on challenges related to digitalization and community empowerment. Experiences like this will strengthen students' skills in communication, creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership. We hope that more FIKES students will have the courage to participate in competitions at regional, national, and international levels.”

The Head of the Nursing Study Program at FIKES UIN Jakarta, Karyadi, Ph.D., also expressed his appreciation to the students and their supervising lecturers. “We congratulate Ayub Cahya Firdaus, Annisa Dwi Aulia Aldjazairi, and Ryan Fajar Pratama on securing 1st Runner-Up (Juara Harapan I) in the QRIStal Qasuari 2026 Digital Challenge, and extend our appreciation to Ns.
